Chapter 39 / 51 · 1 min
Captain Nira
“Captain Nira, can I say something?”
Nira stared into the pitch-black emptiness in front of her, her eyes just as empty.
“Don’t, Tushan.”
I checked my spacesuit again. Ten minutes of oxygen left. What did it matter anymore.
“Nira, I—”
She cut me off.
“Please. No need for the drama. I always knew a moment like this would come in my life. And I knew that if there was a boy beside me in that moment, he’d propose. Boys are like that. They never miss a chance, right up until the end.”
She went on.
“If you love me so much, then give me five minutes of oxygen from your suit. I want to live five minutes longer. Will you?”
I stared at her, caught off guard.
